Student looking through library books

Centennial Elementary was built in 1963 and dedicated April 29, 1965. It was a K-6 grade facility. Up until this time the area elementary students attended classes at Lovell, Centerville, or in rooms in the previously built junior and senior high buildings on the Centennial Campus. Throughout the growth of the community, classes were often held in the local churches as well.

Centennial Elementary was originally built around a square courtyard, most of which was filled in to create a larger media center in the summer 1985. A computer lab was added in the fall of 1984, and expanded to 30 computers the following year as part of the addition to the media center. It has been a K-5 school since the middle school was opened.
